10a. How can I post to the Usenet via email?
* Send email to alt-what-ever@cs.utexas.edu to post to
the group alt.what.ever (note hypen/dot substitution).
10b. How can I access Usenet?
* ftp to heinous.isca.uiowa.edu and get the file
/ftp/pub/inet/usenet.via.email
* Panda.isca.uiowa.edu (see also list of addresses below)
has Usenet access. For more info, see Panda>.

* Get the augsburg list (#11, below) and search it for usenet.
* If you have a UNIX account, try any of the following commands:
rn, nn, vn. "man -k news" (no quotes) may also be helpful.

11. Where can I get a list of Internet bbs's, and A LOT of other

* Send email to bbslist@aug3.augsburg.edu. Subject and contents

* Or, ftp to aug3.augsburg.edu, get files/bbs_lists/nal007.txt
* If you _absolutely_can't_ use email or ftp, Mail> Sample.
12. Where can I find a public-access dialup in my area code? I.e.,
FREE or CHEAP internet access and email addresses?
* Email "Send PDIAL" to info-deli-server@netcom.com. This gets
you a list of public-access dialup services.
* Do an archie search for a file called nixpub
(PUBlic-access uNIX)

13. I need more info about such-and-such mailing list.
Ftp to ftp.nisc.sri.com, and get yourself a copy of
/netinfo/interest-groups. The document contains a list of
the available groups, how to subscribe, etc.

rs.internic.net
* A good, detailed list of gopher resources is available
via ftp from ftp.einet.net /pub/gopher-jewels.txt
